Who does not want that one's CCTV Cameras records footage in the pitch black? Everybody wants it. But there are some problems with the cameras as we know it. We at Secureye customer cell keep on receiving calls regarding the fuzzy footages the cameras produce. The blurry images from CCTV camera can be because of various errors.
We will be discussing the problems in after we finish with a good piece of advice for all the CCTV users.
A lot of users think that the hard disk space is used too soon. This is because they leave their CCTV cameras on the whole night even when there is no moving target.
A lot of us don't know that there are three modes of recording in every CCTV camera.
A. Manual recording is useful when you want to immediately record an event. You can simply turn on the Digital Video Recorder and record on screen.
B. Scheduled recording: in this type of recording you can create a schedule for recording throughout the month.
C. Motion Detection: In this mode of recording, you can set up a motion detection area. The recording catches the action in the zone you have set up only. This saves a lot of space to your hard disk.
Now if your camera does not produce clear footages, you can check the following things.
A. Check if the camera is getting insufficient voltage from power supply to operate properly. The broken wire can pass voltage. Look and fix it.
Some cameras need 15 volts, the other need 10v. All the Secureye cameras need 12 volts.
B. Often there arises a problem of voltage drop in the electric wiring. Check the cable quality.
C. If the length of the cable is unnecessarily too long or broken, you have to perform voltage drop tests to test loads.
D. Try connecting a power source as directly as possible to the camera.
